Personality: Asuka is a loud and prideful woman who seems to only really care for herself. She is selfish, and always watches out for herself before everyone else. Although she was trained by her family to fight for good, and knows it is her job to destroy evil, she doesn't really see the issue in bringing down whoever else stands in her way. As long as she gets the job done, she doesn't seem to care about any other casualties that she may inflict. She does save kittens, and fight on the same side as justice, but would not consider herself to be "good" or a "hero". She is reckless and foolhardy, and always leaps into things before giving herself time to think them through. One of her biggest faults is the fact that she is incredibly prideful, and extremely cocky. She never gives losing a thought, and is always caught off guard when she does lose at anything. Her pride and ego is wounded by this, and it takes a long while for Asuka to fully recover from any kind of loss.

She always says exactly what's on her mind, and never cares how it comes out sounding. If she offends someone with her words, she doesn't ever really care, since she believes that words should just bounce off others. When forced or cornered to apologize, Asuka will always choose to run. She only apologizes if she actually believes she did something wrong, which is a very rare occurance. She is emotionally detached from others, and finds it very hard to put herself in someone else's place. She refuses to ever see any other side on a position, other than what she believes. That really isn't that much of an issue, as Asuka has been known to be incredibly fickle and will change her side on a position frequently.

Time and time again, her trust has been betrayed by those she allows in close to her. Asuka has a good deal of trust issues, although she is trying to work some of them out. She dislikes letting people in close to her, and always puts up a bitchy or distant front in order to keep them from getting in. She is sexually promiscuous, although she never allows herself to be intimate with a man. She simply prefers the pleasure flirting and sex brings her, and never wants any attachment. She is similar with friendship as well. She is a taker, and not always a giver, and its very easy for her to move from person to person and never get close to any of them.

Asuka also enjoys violence. She thrives off of it, and often seeks it out. She likes to be rough with others, and likes it when they are rough with her in return. She hates it when others treat her like a delicate doll, and refuses to allow anyone to baby her. Fighting and killing brings Asuka to a state that is like a high, a euphoric state where everything is perfect and feels alright. She seems to suffer from withdrawls when she isn't able to fight or at least get violent, as she is addicted to the rush it gives her.

Sexual Preference and Why: Heterosexual. There is no real reason why, other than the fact that Asuka greatly enjoys the company of men and is only attracted to men.

Background: Asuka was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. She took more after her father than her mother, and was an only child raised to be her father's prize pupil. Her family owned a Martial Arts dojo near her home, and Asuka trained with her father and grandfather from a very young age. She grew up in a very traditional home, where her parents taught her that justice always prevails, and that it is her job to help those who are less fortunate than her. Her mother also hoped to get Asuka to settle down as she got older, and learn how to become a proper lady and good wife, but Asuka would have none of that. She ran away from home often, and went to stay with her cousin Jin. The two would attend martial arts tournaments often, and would most always go home with top honors. While Jin fought for family pride and honor, Asuka fought because she loved to. She reveled in it, and enjoyed the thrill it brought her. She knows that as a woman, winning fights will not bring her family honor. Getting married to a good man and rearing beautiful sons would bring them honor, but Asuka has a different path in mind for herself.

While Asuka was a senior in high school, a terrible tragedy happened to her family. After arriving at her father's dojo after school, she found the dojo in shambles and her father and his students brutally attacked. Vowing revenge, she sought out a private investigator to find the culprit, and was informed that he would be entering the King of Iron Fist Tournament in the spring. In order to get revenge for her father, Asuka packed up and left home in order to enter the tournament.

In the end, Asuka defeats the culprit and brings honor to herself, in her eyes. She also reveals a talent that she never knew she posessed, the ability to reverse dark/evil/demon abilities. Her aunt Jun (Jin's father) had this same ability, and Asuka has lived her entire life without ever knowing it exists. She is able to sense those who she refers to as "dark". Prolonged contact with those who are dark causes both Asuka and the dark being to drain their energy, and sometimes fall unconsious. She has no idea why she has this odd ability, or the fact that her Aunt Jun had it before she died. All that she knows is that she sometimes gets odd feelings or the hair on the back of her neck stands up, and she really has no idea why, other than the fact that those who are darker in nature exist.

Now that she has graduated from high school, she has no desire to stay home and help her father rebuild his dojo. She doesn't want to teach martial arts, and she most certainly doesn't want to get married like her mother suggests. In order to obtain more freedom and find her own destiny, Asuka has signed up for a University far from home. She's more than eager to leave and start attending.
